About Me

Hi I’m Rob Hallam ,

A second year Computer Science student studying at the University of Birmingham. I’m currently Socials Rep for the University’s Computer Science Society (CSS) as a part of the 2020/21 committee. I’m also the Undergraduate Computer Science School Rep for the 2020/21 academic year, and so if you have any questions about or feedback for the School, please get in touch with me!

My passions include programming (and maintaining my projects), attending hackathons, and listening to various genres of music from indie and rap to hip hop.

I’m currently learning React.js, FastAPI and Docker! (as well as playing with Google Cloud stuff, amongst other things).

If you’re interested, feel free to check out my university bridging coursework blog site developed with Django in Python here.

Student, RGSW

2012 — 2019

I studied at RGSW (Royal Grammar School Worcester) from Year 7 through to Year 13, undertaking both my GCSEs and A-levels during my time there.

Student, University of Birmingham

2019 — present

I'm currently a first year student studying Computer Science at the University of Birmingham. My expectations of University were far exceeded in every possible aspect, and being plainly honest I don't think I could've had any better a first year than the one I've had. And, as the academic year comes to a close (albeit rather abruptly) I'm really looking forward to the years ahead; for the times I'll share with my friends, the experiences I hope to grow from and the studies that I anticipate will propel my career forwards in the future.

What do I want to do in the future? As of now, I'm not entirely sure. But here's to figuring it out!
